Igala Text-to-Text Language Translation
Fine-tuned an AfriMBART (mBART) model for English–Igala machine translation, extending the tokenizer with a custom Igala language token and deploying the model on Hugging Face. Built an end-to-end PyTorch/Transformers training pipeline and optimized GPU memory via dynamic padding, gradient checkpointing, and gradient accumulation to train on limited hardware.

Designed an embedded computer vision system for real-time facial expression recognition, automatically adjusting ambient lighting with multi-coloured LEDs to simulate mood-responsive environments.
